Corrections Policy

How to report a mistake on Useful Everyday Calculators and how we handle and log corrections.

How to report a correction

Email hello@usefuleverydaycalculators.com with the page URL, the number or wording that looks wrong, and the source or reasoning behind the correct value. If you can, include the inputs you used so we can reproduce the result.

How we handle reports

  1. We acknowledge the report and reproduce the issue.
  2. We compare against the underlying source (IRS, CMS, SSA, NRCS, manufacturer spec, or industry convention) and confirm whether the calculator, the guide, or the source guidance has changed.
  3. We update the page, bump the last-reviewed date, and log the change on the updates page.

What we log

  • Formula or unit corrections.
  • Updated IRS, CMS, or SSA figures each January and mid-year if a source publishes an update.
  • Material clarifications to guides that change what a reader would decide.

Typos and copy edits are fixed without a log entry.
